The device suddenly stops or reboots.
Please check whether the power plug is tightly plugged in. If it is only plugged in halfway, it can happen that it has a loose contact, causing the device to suddenly stop or reboot sometimes.
Note that you can fasten the contact on the OpenMicroServer models with a cable clamp.

I set the notification settings so that a notification is only sent when an error is detected. That way, if no notification is sent it means there is no error. But then, it could also happen that no message is sent because there is a problem with the KANSHI BlockS Pro. Can I set the device to send notifications in regular intervals?
Set the KANSHI Blocks Pro to monitor itself. You can use the following example:
- Host settings
- Hostname
Set as `localhost'.
- Individual notification settings
Check "Use individual settings"
- Notification parameter in mail notification settings
Check "always send notification".
- Notification address in mail notification settings
Enter the email address to receive the regular notification.
- Add monitoring settings
- Monitoring schedule
Set as "at intervals". The default is one day.
- Monitoring port
Don't check anything.

The MRTG graphs seem to appear and disappear.
Please check whether there are capital letters in the host names of any hosts on the watchlist. If so, please convert them to lower-case letters.
This is a phenomenon of the MRTG specifications.

I cannot open the web management window. What should I do?
You possibly have initialized the system by turning on the power while pressing the init button.
To operate the system as KANSHI BlockS, you must start the system from the provided CompactFlash card using the following procedure.
1. Log in as a root user and issue the following commands.
# flashcfg -d
# flashcfg -c initrd
# reboot
2. Restart the system, log in again as a root user, and issue the following commands.
# mount -t ext3 /dev/hda3 /mnt
# /mnt/kbs/recov_kbs
# reboot
(The previous monitoring settings will remain after using the restore command, but the Basic Settings are reset to the factory settings. Reset these as necessary. The root password is reset to "root".)
