Until now, you needed to purchase the necessary hardware, storage, operating system and middleware to build a high-scale computer system. About Secure Online

The customers of Secure Online can use the environment they need for the time period they need. The environment offered to the customers is a secure, ISMS compliant data center, with redundant servers (40 HITACHI Blade Symphony BS320) and storage (HITACHI AMS200 12.4TB). The server rooms are protected by a high security system. There is constant monitoring and regular backups.

Customers access the datacenter over a VPN. Existing software ressources can be combined, and the service allows for significant cuts in resource spending and ownership costs.

Another strength of the service is, that for the customer, it is a remarkably short step from order to actual usage.

A huge benefit when it comes to maintaining the speed is the program used for the VPN connection, PacketiX VPN 2.0.

The value of PacketiX VPN 2.0

PacketiX VPN 2.0 can be introduced to any environment, provided a HTTPS connection is possible. Mr. Nakamura uses the software to connect his customers to Secure Online, as he values the speed and flexibility of PacketiX VPN 2.0 highly.

With our out of the box solution, the small appliance server PacketiX BOX, Mr. Nakamura can connect the LAN of his customer to Secure Online surprisingly fast. All he has to do is enter four different settings, such as IP addresses, into the PacketiX BOX Bridge, and plug the device into the local network. This is all that is necessary to create a Layer 2 VPN between the local network and the VPN Server, there is no need to reconfigure firewalls or change router settings.

Because of this speedy implementation, he decided to use PacketiX VPN 2.0 from the start, and he never bothered to look for competing VPN products.

His purchases for the system included a PacketiX appliance server, which was used as a Secure Online Server and the PacketiX BOX Bridges for installation at the customer site. He experienced no defects or troubles. The SSL encryption of PacketiX VPN protects the security of the infrastructure.
