SoftEther, Inc. receives award from the Japanese Minister for the Economy
Valued contribution to network users convenience by VPN development and popularization

SoftEther Corp. (Representative Director and Chairman: Daiyu Nobori) has received an award from the Minister for the Economy at the 2007 Informatization Month, organized by the Japanese Cabinet Office and 5 ministries.
The Informatization Month, started in 1972 as the Informatization Week, has been held for the 36th time this year. It is organized by the Cabinet Office and five ministries: the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI), the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC), the Ministry of Finance (MOF), the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT), and the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport (MLIT).
Awards are given out at the Informatization Month Commemoration Ceremony, which is held as a main event on Oct 1st every year, where individuals, companies and excellent systems are honored, which contributed to the promotion of informatization.
This year, SoftEther, Corp. has been awarded the 2007 Informatization Month Promotion Contribution Award in the Informatization Contribution category by the Minister of the Economy.
In the announcement, the following has been given as a reason for the selection:
"[SoftEther] developed a secure, high-performance VPN (Virtual Private Network) software that is easy to use even without expert knowledge. Currently, it is used by several thousand businesses and it has contributed greatly to improve the convenience of network users."
